With our 4-axis wire electrical discharge machining (EDM) capabilities, Reliable Machine & Engineering is a primary source for the production of tight tolerance, high-value parts. We have the ability to EDM complex shapes and unusual configurations in extremely hard and challenging materials while achieving very close tolerances. Our specialty is manufacturing large, custom parts from difficult to machine tool steels, and we have the capacity to handle projects that range from prototype quantities to series production.

EDM is a non-contact process that exerts no forces on the workpiece, which enables us to successfully machine intricately detailed features and thin-walled sections with a high degree of precision. Our computer-controlled equipment ensures consistent, repeatable accuracy. Little to no tooling is required, and we can quickly make changes to the programming for prototypes and one-offs. EDM produces burr-free edges, excellent surface finishes, and upholds tolerances as close as ±0.0002”, which reduces or eliminates the need for additional processing. We EDM parts with maximum dimensions of 24.0” in length x 24.0” in width x 16.0” in height and our machines are capable of running 24/7 to expedite turnaround.
